Default Rewiring D16z6 distributor to OBD2?

I have a D16z6 that's going into a 97 hatch. Is it possible to re-pin the wires to OBD2 specs? I still have my D16y7 distributor with the plug still in tact. Can I re-pin the D16z6 pins into the D16y7 plug? TIA.

So do I just re-pin the D16z6 wires to the d16y7 plug? Does anyone have a diagram to which goes where?

you could just get the internals from a obd2 dizzy and put them in your z6 dizzy or just get a new dizzy

You have to move two wires from/to another plug C106(OBD1), pin1, Blu-Tach output, and Blk/Yel-coil power.

In reality all you are doing is matching up the wire colors. It's not that hard.

OBD-1 and OBD-2 distributors operate by using the exact same signals, so you don't need to change any internals. In other words, both distributors are essentially the same, but they just have different plugs.

if you do that, your timing is going to be off. so if you do use the z6 dizzy, youll have to time it with the gun.

As long as I correct it with a timing gun right? Any down falls of a D16z6 motor in an OBD2 car?
