D15B7 into 97 Civic HX. need clarification on O2 sensor wiring
I installed an OBD1 D15B7 into my dirt track/rally car. Its a 97 HX 5spd manual (technically its an EX shell...but has a HX harness and used to have a D16Y5). My plan is to run the P06 ECU and an OBD1 conversion harness.
I need some clarification on the 5 wire to 4 wire O2 sensor swap. Everyone suggests making a sub harness going from the engine bay to the ECU for the heater control wire and the sensor signal wire...and then just grounding the sensor grounds to the thermostat housing. This would be done using the male plug from a 4 wire sensor and some wire.
Is there a way to splice into the 7 pin wideband O2 connector that exists on the HX harness? I ask because it's easier to access.
Are there pins on the HX ECU plugs already? Or do I have to pin the locations?
Thanks for any help!
