Default Cruise Control problems

Hello I have a 1998 Honda Civic Lx. I have recently been experiencing some cruise control problems. It will not engage. The button to the left of the dash is on, I press the bottom button on the steering wheel and the cruise control light comes on on the dash, however it will not maintain the set speed. Any help would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

You may have an erratic signal coming from the VSS sensor. Sometimes this shows up on the speedo acting funny or twitchy for a moment.
You may have a vacuum issue with the actuator where the signal is weak or a stuck open check valve. If it isn't reacting quickly as before, there could be a binding cable too from the actuator to the throtle body.
good luck

I haven't noticed anything twitchy or funny with the speedometer. Kinda weird.

Check whether the vacuum hose is disconnected at the IM, vacuum tank, or actuator.

Also inspect the cable.

Okay, is there a diagram of where I can find the vacuum hose?

Post pictures of the actuator and the cable and vacuum hoses that route from the actuator to the vacuum tank and then to the IM.

Everything seems to look fine. Bad actuator?
