Default Crank Pully

I'm about to to my valve lash soon here. According to helms after doing the valve lash, your supposed to retorque the crank pully bolt. Is it really that necessary?

No, just don't put much torque on the bolt when you rotate the engine.

However, it couldn't hurt.

I was just curious if anyone actually really does it, I mean the thing is torqued down to 130ft lbs, so you would think just turning it would be that bad.

It doesnt hurt to retorque it but theres no reason to because the bolt never brakes loose. It still holds its 130ft lbs. Now if you break it loose then yes retorque it.
