Cooling Fan not turning on properly
I have a 93 Honda Civic EX and recently I had a radiator problem (water was leaking) so I changed that. But for some reason the radiator fan doesnt turn on. I jumped the radiator fan and it was working and I also place a piece of wire in between the temperature sensor harness and it turned on. So im suspecting that the temperature sensor on the thermostat housing is bad. But im not sure. I checked all the fuses and it all seems to be fine and not blown. Oh and another thing is should I replace the thermostat first before I replace the temperature sensor because that little sensor cost nearly $100 from Honda. The coolant in the radiator was full so i doubt it would be that as well.

Re: Cooling Fan not turning on properly
No, if you jumped the sensor connector and the fan came on then you have a fan switch problem and everything else is good like the relay and fuse.
Replace this switch with one from the junk yard that or pull yours off and clean it real good and try again.
and the thermostat don't have anything to do with the fan.
