Default clutch has no pressure!

96 civic with gsr swap.

Car loses clutch pedal pressure. I've checked fluid level for the resevoir for the clutch slave cylinder and it was ok, probably only added a few ounces. Pedal will eventually drop to the floor and won't come back up.

Problem started occuring yesterday. This has happend a few months ago but was quick fixed by filling the clutch slave cylinder resevoir with brake fluid.

After trying to find the culprit, I noticed a couple things:
1. Brake fluid that is in the resevoir is very dirty.
2. No visual leaks around the resevoir or MC or wet substances by the clutch lines.
3. When I cup my hand over the resevoir and make a complete seal the pedal will begin to get pressure after about 50 pumps to the pedal. (Of course I still have to pull the pedal up from the floor in the first 10 pump)

So basically I'm starting off with getting a new cap for the resevoir and seal from Honda, and probably do a flush this weekend. Has anyone had this problem before? Any tips on what I might need to look at?

Any help is appreciated and TIA!!!

Don't think a new cap and seal is necessary.

Two possible solutions:

1. You got air in your lines. Bleed your clutch lines.

2. Your slave cylinder is shot. Common problem. Replace it.

hmmm.
replace the seal, flush and replace the fluid and bleed the system.
you are getting air in the lines somewhere...

somethings wrong with my clutch i think. either the pressure is not there or the clutch is not grabbing. when i push down on the clutch i barely have to relieve pressure on my foot for the car to move. i dont know if its just me or needing to get used to the EK clutch but my dc2 felt alot different. i hate it cuz it causes me to stall sometimes. anyone have this problem

i have a itr swap ek

Look by your clutch pedal and if you see any drips or streams of brake fluid, i think you need a new master cylinder.

pull the boot of the slave cylinder to see if theres fluid in it. if there is then the slave cylinder is bad. the cap isnt your problem, you should be able to take the cap off and still have pressure at your clutch when you push it in.
