Default cleaning head surface

what can you use with gasket remover to help get a stuck on intake mani gasket off? I dont want to scratch my head

some brake clean and a rag will work fine. or carb cleaner watever works. emory cloth should work good without hurting it too much

razor blade worked for me.
Try that then sand with 320 grit sand paper.

I razor'd mine off after stuffing a few clean towels in the ports, didn't even get it all off and smooth, but the intake is now sealed. New gasket seems to have taken care of it.

You could carefully use a flathead screwdriver for bigger chunks.

I think when i installed the intake mani gasket, the old one that was stuck on may be causing my fluctuating idle problem

scotch-brite pads and a die grinder works pretty good. They don't take off any metal if you're reasonably careful - the scotch-brite will disintegrate first.

gasket remover and time, then scrapping with a razor blade always works for me

use razor scratching method with razor 90 degrees to surface scratches gaskets off easy without making score marks

That makes no sense, try 30-45 degrees. 90 degrees would be putting it completely perpendicular to the head.

But yea like 94EGKUSH said razor blade and sandpaper, I went with a little finer than 320 though.
