Default civic throttle postion sensor repair

Throttle body was dropped and the throttle position sensor was broken. Dealer says they can't be replaced and I must buy a new throttle body. Is there anybody that repairs or replaces the sensor?

Not really, the TPS is a PITA to adjust properly. And the TPS is rather expensive. This is an oportunity to buy a larger Honda TB. Plus, you can pick up used ones for about the cost of the sensor.

you can look in the classidieds for a used one from a JDM engine, the jdm ones unscrew from the TB, or call a JDM engine distributor they will probably sell you a used one cheap

Are the JDM throttle bodies the same bore size?

it doesn't they are the same but the JDM tb have TPS sensors that are screwed in, instead of being riveted to the TB... This makes them a lot easier to remove and replace, and adjust

Once you remove the rivets from your USDM tb you can replace them with screws

no because you can't buy a USDM TPS without buying the throttle body
