If the jam nut or whatever its called that goes on the end of the axle is tightened all the way i dont think it should have any play. Is the vibration in the steering wheel?

you can tap the end of the axle (axle nut side) gently with a hammer to make sure the axle is seated. Put a block of wood over it if you aren't a careful person so you dont damage the threads on the axle.

it is normal to feel some slight play in the driveshaft joints. they handle some extreme angles so there is always slight play

I had similar issues with axles from auto parts stores such as schucks or napa. They do give a great warranty though but you pay for what you get, i would just use it and try another set. At one point I actually switched to used OEM axles because they held up better and drove smoother then remans.

I think you got remans, new axles are like $150 a piece, take back the axle and fix your sway bar and see if you still have the noise
