its possible but your engine has no vtec...p28 is a vtec ecu. so theres no point and you prob will get a CEL.

you are right i've completely forgotten the vtec.So should i buy a P06 or P08 ecu which has no vtec setting but the ecu needs to be chipped as i want a 8200 rpm instead of the stock 7200 rpm.

The P08 is still a vtec ECU (JDM D15B Vtec) the P06 isn't though. If you're planning to rev a stock d-series (especially a non vtec one) to 8200 don't expect it to last long. Its not making power past around 6300RPM anyway so I really don't see the point.

I'll not rev it to that extent but i just want to pass 7000 rpm, this won't be everyday.7500-7700 should be right? So which ecu should you guys propose?

When it is chipped, you change everything anyways, so you can disable vtec, so it doesn't matter what ecu it is. There is no point in revving past stock redline, you will have no power at all, and it will just slow you down and damage your engine.

Actually i am preparing the ecu as later i'll upgrade my camshaft.I'll not rev it to 8000 rpm until i get my camshaft and valve springs installed. But right now i need a chipped ecu. So,i'll look for a P28 or a P06 tuned according to my specs. Thanks everyone for your valuable help.
