Re: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CODE P-1259???? (36Chitownrunnin)
p-1259 is "VTEC system malfunction" my EM1 threw that code about 4months ago heading home from vegas, when vtec engaged passing a semi, i took it to my buddies shop, he checked it all out and said that sometimes when vtec engages the oil pressure to the solenoid will drop slightly throwing that code, nothing to worry about, just kind of telling you to check your oil level(vtec motors naturally burn oil when revved high up) he reset the code for me and said that its nothing to worry about, just a precationary thing. not sure if thats what your problem is but that would be my guess
P.S.
here's a list of CEL codes:

its not a precautionary "thing". the solenoid just engages as long as the pressure switch tells the ecu there is adequate oil. the solenoid has nothing to do with oil pressure.

Re: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CODE P-1259???? (count me out)
hmm... so if I bolt the ground to the top of the solenoid it will fix the problem?where do I ground it in the engine bay or on the pcm connectors? Also would you know anything about the ECT engine coolant temp high circuit input what would cause this light to come on. Thanks for the help

3 wires from ecu, 2 to pressure switch, 1 to solenoid, ground the second wire coming out of solenoid to the solenoid.
