CEL code 43!!! HELP!!!
OK, my CEL went on tonight and I checked it, it is code 43 = fuel supply system
SO how do I fix it?
Here is some problem my engine(JDM B18C TypeR in a DelSol) have:
1) It hesistate at around 6500rpm during partial throttle. It only happen in partial throttle, when it hesistate, the engine having a hard time rev past 6500rpm in partial, but when I apply full throttle, it rev up to the redline no problem. And it didn't have a problem rev all the way up to the redline in full throttle.
2) When the engine is not fully warm up, it have a bit of bogging from 3000rpm up.(And that is when the CEL came on, it bog a bit and the CEL came on.) Water Temperature at that time was around 65degree C according to my water temp. gauge.
3) My injectors were running at around 80% duty cycle before (when i last dyno) and now it is at 100% after 5500rpm. Nothing was changed since dyno.
4) I am running Hondata with 290cc injectors (4yrs old). Fuel pump is 10yrs old, and O2 sensor is also 10yrs old. Fuel filter was changed 3 yrs ago.
5) The CEL went away after I turn off the car and turn it on again. The car run fine (full and partial throttle) all the way up to 5000rpm when the CEL was on. Too chicken to rev past 5000rpm. Also, the car run fine after the CEL went off.
So can anyone tell me what my problem is? Thanks

Can you be more specific on why it is the O2 sensor before I spend the money to replace it?

Code 43 generally means your O2 sensor is bad.
Have you ever replaced it?
I know it says "fuel supply system" but if you do some searching, you'll see it relates to your O2 sensor.
I've had the same exact problem, and cured it with and O2 sensor.

code 43 means your engine is running very rich. find out what is causing the problem first before you spend money on a new sensor.
trust me i'm going through this problem right now and no one has a straight answer to this problem.
check fuel injectors, pump, regulator and anything related to fuel delivery. if you find the solution please post it so i can fix my car. check everything twice before you spend money on a sensor that might be good.

Just finished working on a car that was throwing the exact code and had sorta the same problems. New fuel filter cured the problem.

Re: (Jmunk)
I have an AEM FPR for 3 yrs, how can I check if it is still good?
Drive around for the last 2 days, the car drive good except for the hesistaion in partial throttle at 6500rpm. NO CEL, NO problem in full throttle.
I am not sure if it is the fuel problem, since I only get the hesistantion in partial throttle and NOT full throttle. I would think if there is something wrong with the fuel supply, I would have most problem in full throttle.

Re: (xTravBx)
does anyone know how good those denso sensors are. i heard that they make them for honda but the price difference is huge, 70 bucks compared to 170 for honda ones. i was told to never waste my money on anything other than a honda sensor. what do you guys think?

Re: (d16y8hatch)
I want to know too, the universal one is like $100 cheaper than the OEM one. And I found out that the OEM one for the SOHC civic is like $80 cheaper than the B series DOHC one. But then on the universal one, they are same price and same part number. SO what's the deal here?
Also, the CEL code 43 came back on again today. It seem like it only throw a code when I start driving without the car fully warm up. ie. I start driving when the water temp gauge is at 50degree C, it throw a CEL code 43. But if I let it warm up till like 70 degree C, then it didn't throw a code 43.
You guys still think it is the O2 sensor?
