Anti-Theft Idea
Hey guys. We all hate thiefs right? And we all like our cars and not wanted to get stolen. So here is my idea i was thinking. If it takes 60 volts to kill someone. How can we make this work as like a tazer anti theft system. I want to wire electricity ( GOOD AMOUNT) to the door handles or anywhere on the car. The car is metal so it conducts electricity. So How would you wire a battery AND make something to STEP up the voltage do a good amount without using like 10 batteries lol

so you NEVER go out to public places lots ? ex: the mall, movie, party's and so on if someone bumps into your car and your crazy anti theft device kills them you CAN be held accountable. some how I don't think this post is actually serious

This is blatantly illegal. You've obviously never heard of the term "equal and necessary". This would catch a premeditated murder charge in most states. On top of that, your car's electrical system uses the body as a ground, and your door handles are plastic. Unless you want to end up in the Darwin Awards, please stop trying to think up new things.

Re: Anti-Theft Idea
it doesn't take 60v to kill you. your 12v car battery can do it easily.
0.75 amps can kill you. Your car battery has over 60amps+ running and 500amps+ at start.
just saying..be careful op lol

Re: Anti-Theft Idea
Its not a bad idea, nor a good one.
The Major armored car services offer this.
that being said, read your electrical diagrams and find a clever, not dangerous way to prevent theft. like an electric shift ****. CHEERS!

This reminds me of Robocop. Oh memories.
This is a heinously bad idea.
What happens if you park your car at a mall and a mother and her kids parks next to you and one of her children touches your electrified car?
also i fairly certain 60 volts will not kill someone, the other day I got a surge from my dizzy jumping the gap between my plug wire, that was easily a few thousand volts.
Hopefully this is a troll, in which case, you could have done better.

Re: Anti-Theft Idea
60 volts isnt going to kill you but it will get your attention for sure. Personally Ive been shocked by plenty of livestock fencing when I was younger which are usually above 100 volts. Regardless this is a dumb idea as an anti-theft option with too many what ifs and possible liabilities.
