I had bought a lip from JDMCARBOY.com on November 10th, 2005 and i am still unsatisfied.

They sent me a lip that was warped and had NO way of fitting my 99-00 civic bumper. I took it to TWO local body shops and they said to take it back. I even took pictures of it and JDMCARBOY looked at them and told me to send it back to them.

I sent the lip back in December.... and JDMCARBOY still hasn't sent me an exchange lip or refund.


this is my conversation with him...
i noticed he avoids a lot of my questions.. and he tells an SI bumper is wider than any other normal 99-00 Civic bumper
it was very frustrating

i am 99.9% sure that all 99-00 Civic bumpers are the same..

let me know what ya'll think about this conversation....

AncIyT (8:51:55 PM): I've had many lips on this car.. including an OEM SI lip.. a CTR lip.. a Mugen Style Lip... but this is the only Carbon Fiber lip i wanted... and it didn't come close to fitting

you have to hold both sides on at the same time... i bet it would fit then

its not gonna fit like oem where it needs some "assistance" fitting up to the bumper.

also i guess no one realizes but jdmshit, jdmcarboy, and all the ebay sellers all sell the same exact crap

The Del Sol lip i bought from him didnt fit at all either. I had to cut and dremel the lip to fit and theres still gaps on the sides. He claims all the lips fit his bumpers but my lip didnt fit for sh*t.

Also, about the number on his site. He says its been on there a while lol, Two weeks at most. Good luck with your situation. I had a horrible experience with them and wont ever buy from them again.

man it sounds like your getting f****d. i used to work for a shop in St. louis called next level and they where the biggest bunch of scammer i have ever meet and they used to do the same ****, dodging email and im and then since i was new i had to tell the customer that they where not there and ****, i quit not to long after but your best bet is to get someone you know to drive there inperson or call the bbb on this guy. just keep hounding him intill someting happens

thats exactly how my cf mugen style lip was from robearracing. wouldnt lay flat on the floor and the right side curled up in the exact same way. i doubt you really even tried putting it on. people click on the links to his pics, and tell me it looks like it wont fit. did you even try wraping the other side around to see if it will fit? or did you just wrap ONE side around and say "oh crap the other side doesnt wrap around perfectly and fit like oem id better send it back". like i said my lip was exactly like that and i got mine on. pretty sure its from the same manufacturer too.

Yeah, most of those lips are not designed to fit right up to the bumper with excellent fitment, they are deisgned to WRAP around the bumper. Your mounting screws on the lips ends, located in the fender wells will WRAP that lip around the bumper.

YES i tried to put both sides of the lip down..

i took it to TWO body shops also!

i'm not car illiterate.. this has got to be the 3-4th lip i've had on a Civic


I had 2 other people try to force the lip to touch both sides of the bumper.. but it wasn't even about to touch... even with the force of man-power.. the lip seemed like it was GOING TO SNAP.. and still had at least 6 inches of distance between the lip and bumper


SO YES i did try... i've tried to put the lip on the bumper for hours..

all i want is another lip

thats the same lip i have for my 92-95 civic but in ABS plastic. It didnt fit properly either, but with 2 ppl it will fit. its just extremely tight around.

just remember, even if it says oem fitmet, its not gunna be 100% unless its from honda. its just the way it is.

sucks u gotta deal with that situation but we've all been there one way or another. it will make u think twice from now on about buying things though, atleast i have.

as we all know, carbon fiber and fiberglass dont bend and flex well.

from the 1st 2 pics, you can clearly see this lip isn't straight. there is no reason laying flat, both ends shoudln't be on the ground.

now plastic, or urathane.. you might have a point, they're designed to flex.. but NOT composite.

that lip is ***, and the seller should make the sale good.. but he hasn't.

yeh me and my bro got a 99-00 si front lip from jdmcarboy. i have a 99 si and he has a 00 ex, niether one of our front lips fit. mine bows out at the ends, where the screws go on in the wheel well, so if i would have forced it any more, it would have cracked like my bros did. he is horrible with customer service and we had the same problem you are having too, i think the guy's on crack
