Re: Car keys are locked in trunk!
same thing happened to me. it was like 5 bucks for the honda dealer to make me a new set of keys. just take your paper work and you'll be good!

I always have my registration, in my wallet. I figure, if some idiot steals the car, they would have a lot of explaining to do, if they get pulled over. I hope some independant form of ID is with the OP.Or is this just a long scam thread?

Asking how to get into the TRUNK of a del Sol would be a really weird way to scam people. Probably more likely that the OP really did lock his/her keys in the trunk. The more simple explanation is often the correct one.
I'd say if anyone else gets in this predicament, you're best either getting a spare made at Honda (if possible - call first and have your VIN on hand - the dealer might not allow it if you do not have proper proof of ownership) or call a locksmith (cheapest in my area is $40, but that heavily depends on where you live).
As explained earlier in the thread, the del Sol S (which is the lowest trim level) does not have the remote trunk pull on the driver floor.
For those who have not yet... get a spare key made! Giving a spare to a trustworthy and reliable friend or family member might also be a good idea.
