Car has no spark?! Checked everything but still not starting! Plz help!
I'm sure you all have heard of the classic no spark/no start thing with hondas, I have a 96 civic ex. I tried everything! I replaced the distributor, thinking it was the ignitor, I re-soldered the main relay, thinking it was defective. Fuel pump is getting power, same with ecu. All fuses are good. Could it be a ground somewhere? If so, which ones should I check? Please help!! Thanks

I'm using a msd igniton with a blaster ss coil - and I know for a fact that these are not the problem. I even tried changing the plugs and wires, even though the spark isnt even getting that far.

When you use the Blaster Coil, does it completely replace the stock unit or work with it?
I'm still thinking it the original coil.

The msd blaster ss coil is a seperate coil, I do not use the stock coil. Also, I determined there is no spark by hooking up a timming gun to the spark plug wire and then cranking the engine while holding the trigger on the gun. No flash = no spark

interesting way of testing for spark..... anyways, did you just hook up the msd box and coil, and now no spark, or has the msd stuff been working?
the ecu grounds on the thermostat housing, is it grounded? that will also keep your fuel pump from running though, and you said it was priming. i don't know man....

yea, the msd is def. working - I found that ground that was supposed to be grounded to the therm. I moved it there but still no spark. I have a safc2 hooked up, do u think that could be causing this? I have it hooked up the way it shows... this sucks!

First of all...does it turn over at all? Or do you just here a clicking noise?
Get a DVM and check all your voltages...start from the battery and work your way down to the starter and grounds. That should tell you were there is high resistance or a short. Basics man, basics. It could be one little thing in the starter or starter solenoid....like the starter brushes could be toast, etc.
