b series axels ?
so i got this swap "B18B" and i was looking at the axels and i find out that on the rubber boot was missing the little metal ring that goes around the rubber boot "the side that slides in the tranny".....now here is my ? do i need the metal ring i no its dumb of me to post this for one ? but please help im finishing up my swap so faster the better and thanks in advance

if the rubber boot is torn up, that's basically the indicator that you should just replace the whole axle. the labor involved to replace just one part of it isn't worth it anyways since it's just as much as replacing the whole axle

my axels are mint dont really need to replace it.its just missing the metal strap around the boot for some reason and the boot is not torn or ripped

Careful though, these are greased axles we use, and if the ring isn't there the centifigul force can sling the grease out of your axle.....a dry axles will eventually break, or cease (then you WILL be replacing the whole axle) Make sure it still has the grease in it, don't just slap a ring on it and hope you are all good....I always say if you're going to do it, might as well do it the right way.
