Cant get any codes off ecu?
Im having problems with my cel light.
i have a 1994 cx with a b16 sir II swap with p28 chipped with stock p30 program for jason on HT.
the car starts up fine and seems to run fine but the CEL light will not go off no matter how i try to reset it. i tried disconnecting the batter for 10 minutes and pulling the back up fuse /ecu fuse etc.. but the cel stays on.
i tried pulling the code and connecting the service connector and the cel just stays solid. i know the service connector is connected right becuase my srs light blinks code 21.
any suggestions would be much appreciated???
thanks

maybe the chip or the chip job is bad or maybe the wiring is bad or the vtec solenoid is no good. try using a stock ecu and see if the code is there, if not then the ecu or chip is bad. if still there then check wiring and vtec solenoid

I was going to say, whenever you start the car up (or just turn it on) and the CEL comes in and you cannot get any codes from it or the CEL to blink, it's always either the chip in the ECU or the soldering job. Most of the time when that happens, you'll also have a high idle (or sometimes a very low bogging idle) and it won't rev past 3500 rpms. Just an FYI

Hey...
Sorry about that Dave. I have 2 different stock p30 programs......and I had accidently sent you the bad program that has a constant cell. I will be personally testing this other chip and sending it out usps priority tomorrow. Thanks for being patient.
