idle drops
not to sure if it might be a charging system problem, or mechanical with the motor, but when the idle drops, so does the power (voltage also drops).......can anyone help me out?

Re: idle drops (poison)
both, when i start it to warm it up, the idle sometimes stays low, others while driving while at a stoplight or when the car comes to a stop. it's weird cause i notice it happens sometimes when i step on the brakes coming to a stop the car does it too, that's why i'm not sure if it could also be a charging system problem!

Re: idle drops (u_gnit)
If the idle fluctuates when you hit the brakes it's the booster gone bad... (leaking)
could also be the IACV sticking and the brakes thing is just a coincidence... disconnect the IACV... the idle should drop way down/nearly stall... when you plug it back in you should hear a click...
A voltage dip could also cause the idle to drop and the idle dropping will most certainly cause a dip in voltage.
start the car and check the voltage, after a decent drive when everything is warm check the voltage again. if it's significantly lower the alternator may be on it's way out...
