Default C32B EG swap?

This is my first post so I guess I'll start out by saying hi...

I'm gonna be turning 16 soon and getting a '96 EG. Most likely, the powerplant will end up being a Bb8c5. I would like to know if a C32B (post '97 NSX engine) will fit into the engine bay. I have seen pictures of a 2jzgte hatch so I'm hoping that it may be possible. If it fits, I want to use a JDM C32B with a C32A (acura 3.2 CL) FWD tranny. I just thought of this yesterday and have no idea if it might be possible. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

NSX Engines are direct bolt in for 96 EG's.. just pull the carpet back in the trunk and you'll see the engine/tranny mounts. Good luck

I think you need to hang out a while and read as much as you can. That NSX motor has no chance of fitting. Neither does a 2jz. Alsom a 96 is an EK not an EG. Best of luck.

I have seen pictures of a 2jz EG. It most likely didn't have a firewall and the pictures were from many different angles and too perfect to be photoshopped.

Well then anything is possible with enough money, but for what it would cost you, you could have bought a Supra. Neither of those swaps are going to be something that you can do reasonably. Hell even a B18C5 swap is going to cost you a pretty penny. Best of luck though. Just keep reading on here and soak up as much information as you can. Oh yeah, and PM BauleyCivic if you need anything in particular.

I could get a Supra if I wanted to... I'm opting for a tricked out hatch instead of a relatively stock Supra. Supras have gotten old to me since the F&F movies came out. Even if the engine fits in the engine bay, I doubt there's enough hood clearence...

Im trying to help out and you keep trying to talk to me like I'm the one who has no idea. Get a Supra then. Supra + 16 year old kid = wrecked Supra IMHO. Also, if you can get a Supra and are opting for a Civic you are a damn fool.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything...

Supra + me at 16 = death. Then I'd also have to pay for half the insurance on a Supra, which means I'm obligated to work if I want to drive. They eat gas like no other when modified, harder to drive. I just don't think it's a practical first car so I guess I'm a fool.

Nah... I'd go RB26...

Probably not gonna happen.

Why the hell would you use the C32A trans on that engine? Think about it, the C32B is mounted in the rear of the NSX, with the transmission next to it. If you mount the motor in the front of the car, then the tranny would be a FWD tranny... duh!

If the motor was mounted toyota style like the 4AGE, 4AGELC, 2JZ-GTE, and so on, the trans would be behind the motor and motor mounted in the front of car, so then you'd have to do a tranny swap when putting the motor into a front driver. If you take an MR2 3S-GTE and put it into an AE92 Corolla FWD, you don't have to change trannies, but if you put the 3S-GTE into a Supra, then you'd have to use an AE86 trans, understand what i'm getting at here?

Here's an NSX powered civic http://www.aempower.com/race_rwdcivic.asp
