bumpstops for koni yellows?
i just picked up a set of neuspeed koni yellows. i am installing them with integra gsr eibach sportlines. in the instructions it shows the bumpstops at full length, and there is no mention of trimming them. for anyone out there with these shocks, what did you do with your bumpstops. it seems as if i would be riding on them if i was to not trim them. should i cut them in half anyway. thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Your stock bumpstops are designed with the oem spring/shock in mind. When you lower your car you effectivly shorten the suspension travel of the car. When the spring and shock are under load and compressed you have less room between the bumpstop and shock body meaning you will moslt likely hit the bump stop on every bump. This can make your suspension too stiff and unsafe on streets, your ride quality will likely be bouncy if you're rideing on your bumpstops.

If you bottomed out your supension you could do serious dammage to your shocks.

QUOTE]i rode my integra like that. no problem expet for bouncy ride due to cheap springs.[/QUOTE]
wouldn't the bouncy ride actually be attributed to high spring rates with shocks that can't match the rate rather than the actual qualit of the springs themselves.[

you guys with no bumpstops are seriously risking the life of your shocks. you need to have at least some bumpstop on your car.

Re: bumpstops for koni yellows? (SuperDragII)
I'm putting ITR bumpstops on my new Konis and the diameter of the hole in the bumpstop is too small-can't get the bumpstop on the shock. Is it okat to enlarge the hole?
Same problem with the damper mounting rubber. Is it okay to enlarge the hole?
PS:excuse me. I've posted this same topic on ITR forum w/o any sucess.
