Default Brakes are feeling weird? please read

I have a 98 honda civic non-abs brake sys. w/brembo cross-drilled and slotted rotors and AEM brake pads. Now the problem is I have to press more firmly on the brake pedal than usual. The brake pads and rotors are barely 4 months old and the braking feels fine at high speeds. The braking at lights just requires that I put more pressure on the pedal to keep the car still.

"The braking at lights just requires that I put more pressure on the pedal to keep the car still".

If this is the case and your brakes are fine at high speed, then I'd have to wonder how high your engine is idling at a stop light?
