Default B16 timing belt tension

Where is the tension measured? Firewall side or PS side? How much is too much? Is it measured in the loosest spot?

On the power steering side I have about 1 inch front and 1 inch back of play.. yikes.

check the front side of the motor, the exhaust/power steering side first, should be 1 inch of play, or if you can rotate it 90 degrees or less for the timing-belt
