Default Brake Booster Check Valve - Anyone have one go bad?

I think my check valve (in between intake manifold and booster) has gone bad, after I turn the car off I can hear a vacuum leak at the booster and when I step on the break I get erratic idle.

I already ordered a new one from the dealership but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and had the same symptoms.

Spelling **** here. Brake.

Anyway. I have not had a check valve on a Honda go bad, but I have had one go bad on a Ford, and this is not the symptoms. A check valve going bad will cause loss of vacuum after you turn the car off. If you have one brake pedal pressure while the car is running, and if you turn the car off, you then have a different pedal pressure, then this could be the check valve.

I think you probably have a bad booster, though. That's what it sounds like to me. If you are having erratic idle when you depress the pedal, it's probably leaking. Sorry. I hope I'm wrong and it is the check valve. Good luck.

Sorry, my bad - I didn't notice I spelled that wrong.

I should have mentioned I just replaced the booster, my original thought was the booster was the problem with the idle. Replacing it didn't fix a thing and now it leaks out where it meets the master cylinder. I'm just kinda waiting for the check valve to arrive so I can replace it and see if it works. If that doesn't work, I have no clue what do from there.

What do you mean "now it leaks out where it meets the master cylinder"? If you mean it's vacuum leaking there, that is certainly part of a serious problem.

But, have you considered the hoses as the cause of this vacuum leak? You could have a pinhole in one of the hoses.
