Blower Motor Issue
I have been having a wierd issue with my blower motor on my civic. That car is a CX with a Mini-me head swap and AC. Sometimes when I get in the car and turn it ON the fan wont blow. When that happens I can hit the bottom where the blower is and it will work again.
I think its the resistor what do you guys think?

Re: Blower Motor Issue
Ummmm, from my experience, solid state electronics aren't affected by physically beating on them.
From what you describe I'd say the motor itself is on it's last legs and the internal bearings/bushings of it no longer have adequate lubrication. The motor can't break the initial friction but when you bang on it the vibration is enough to break it free and get it spinning. Not sure if you can lubricate the motor or if it uses self lubricated bushings. Might be a replacement thing.
Just my two cents.
