Another EJ1 down....S.O.S
I just got done replacing my starter. And right after I noticed my speedometer was not working. Everything else in my cluster works except for the speedometer needle. My check engine light throws up after driving for a few minutes. So I replaced the top piece of the speed sensor thinking it was that, but its still the same! What could it be???? Any Ideas???

Hmmm, have you check your grounds in the engine bay maybe?
Its just odd that this issue would suddenly come up after replacing the starter since it is not a related component.

so check it try this...this happened awhile back in my coupe when i did my alternator. they say it happens with starter to...
go to the fuse box under your dash.. chech 15 fuse on the secong right 3 or 5th from the left...check that fuse and let me know..
but for a safer tip just check all your fuses..

Checked all my fuses and all of them are good. So Im thinking it is the whole sensor not just the top piece even though my old top piece was messed up. If its not the sensor than I dont know what.....It shouldn't just be the cluster.
