did a valve adjustment today, but not sure if i had the right gap. under my hood it says to use .020 for intake and .025 for my exhaust. but my haynes manual is telling me to use totally different gaps. does anyone know the right size feeler gauge to use for a d16a sohc vtec motor?

ZC JDM motor, same thing as a D16Z6 or close to, maybe a rocker arm sticking? You should seafoam.

if its a slight ticking noise almost like that of a clocks then u need a valve adjustment especially if the motors beyond 100k mi. itll help, find out what motor specs are for it and go off of the oem specs, otherwise it could b a sticky lifter and in that case, use sea foam, i swear by that ****, itll clean up your injectors and if u put it in the oil itll consume a little oil and you might have to change some plugs (depending upon the engines condition) but itll clean up that oil system and get rid of the sludge that causes the sticky lifters, and if its anything louder than a slight clock tick then youve got bigger problems

pretty much any auto parts store will have it, u can add it to anything and everything, add it to the oil and itll clean up your oiling system, add it to your gas and itll clean up your injectors, fuel pump, fuel lines everything. U can even add it to auto transmissions ive heard and itll clean up the valve bodys and ****, but dont keep it in there for too long in the oil cause it will cause you to burn up a little oil, i use the stuff usually b4 i do a tune up ill run atleast two tanks of premium with an entire bottle in each tank and then do a tune up, and ill run one bottle b4 the tune up in my oil to clean **** up.
