you'll be running a little rich, it's not gonna hurt, just replace it as soon as you can. Mine was bad for almost a year

If your car has OBD2 then you might experience a limp mode. It won't perform the same. The CEL that you will get will cause you to fail any emission test.

Secondary O2 doesn't put the car in limp mode, it just kindly reminds you it's bad via the CEL. The primary O2 is the one you don't want to have go bad since that's the one the ECU uses to judge A/F ratio.

What about OBDI cars? Sometimes I'll get a CEL when I'm accelerating up a hill...under heavy load conditions.

How can you tell when your o2 sensor is no good, other than the soot on the bumper?

Oh yeah. I failed emissions incredibly when it was bad and was getting about 30 miles/gallon highway at around 3600 rpm. After changing it for one off my friends D15B7(wasn't a new sensor), I passed emissions as good if not better than a new car, and was getting about 40 or more miles/gallon highway out of my D16Z6. Performance was a little better, but mostly showed in emissions and mileage.

replaced mine today...the thing was broken in half. Noticed a change immediately.
Went and got a free one from a wrecking yard.
