Default bad battery= bad gas (mpg)

Just out of curiousity. Does a bad battery affect gas mileage(MPG)? I mean I have a pretty bad battery and was wondering if it affects my MPG. Anyone got a clue or opinions?

once the car is on the alternator does all or most of the work, so the battery doesnt have anything to do with it. The Battery is only used when the car is turned off to run accesories or to give power to the starter.

I don't know how bad it is on the hondas, but I know on Fords if the ECU looses power it looses its Fuel Trim settings. That means for about 100 miles or so you don't get the best mileage.. Once it is learned the mileage comes back, until the ECU looses power again...

Soo.. if your having to jump start the car, then that might be a posibility, but someone that knows Hondas better than I can say if that is an issue here.
