Are B18 oil dip sticks longer than B16 oil dip sticks?
Some of you probably remember this thread:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1571868
Well a friend and myself came up with an idea. I took the dipstick out of my gsr block and then I took the one from my b16 block out, they were both the same length. I'm thinking now that my gsr block has a b16 dip stick in it.
Can anyone confirm that the b18 has a longer dip stick? I know it has a taller deck height...

What, does it matter?...i mean maybe even a D series oil dip stick would fit if they the same length and fit the same, which they probally do. I don't think you should worry about it basically, unless you like the rice and are gonna paint you're dipstick green or pink or some whacky **** like that, lol.

Re: (Contender25)
I swear to god you have to be mentally challenged to be on H-T these days.
According to my dip stick, my car doesn't have any oil. My car does not smoke at all, nor does it leak any oil. The only way for the oil from my car to dissapear is if it was either burning it (blue smoke), or in my coolant (perfectly clear). My car DOES NOT SMOKE and my coolant is clean.
If the b16 dip stick is shorter than the b18c1 one, and I have a b16 dip stick in my b18c1 block, common sense would tell you that since the b16 isnt long enough, it wont reach far enough into the oil pan on the b18c1 to give a correct reading, hence why it appears that I have no oil.
I don't know why this is so hard to comprehend....

Re: (GetawayInMoscow)
They are def the same length ect....just because you can't see the smoke, doesnt mean your still not burning it or getting blow by. Do you have oil in your intake? Top the oil off and see how long (miles) it takes for it to lose a quart. This will help tell you how bad the situation is.
