my idle speed is 1400 or so. ive a chipped p72 with no check engine lights on.. but my problem is my idle wont go down. i tried to adjust it from the throttle but nothing made a difference..

Is the throttle cable adjust too tight? It should have about 1/2" of slack.
Is the throttle body dirty?
Stock B16a2? Do you have an FITV?
Does the CEL work?

throttle cable is good... throttle body looks pretty clean to me.. it is a stock b16a2 just with a password jdm intake and headers. how can i tell if i have an FITV? .. and yes CEL does work.

Stock B16a2 would not have a FITV. Can you kill the idling engine by covering the top of the TB with your hand? If you use your finger to block the hole inside the TB leading to the IACV, does the idle speed drop to normal or below? Does the same happen if you unplug the IACV?

1) Try cleaning the IACV.
2) Try to properly adjust the idle speed:
