B16a 7300 rpm rev LIMIT? NO WAY!
sup guys
any one here have any info on why my swapped B16a gen 2 JDM only revs to 7300 rpm? by my understanding its making its 168hp at 7800 and its TORQUE at 7300. Why cant i go past this?
my previous engine was a d16z6 and yes my red line was 7300 also. same spot. im not planning on red lining OTD but i do race, and itd be nice to have that extra 1000 rpms when you need it.
I ran the jumper diagnostic and i got code 7 which is TPS sensor so im changing that but i do not think that that is the problem with my rev limit.
The ecu in there is the p28 that came with the motor. originally had the p30.
So after watching Inital D again could it be that im having the same problem as Takami? do i need a new cluster with a tachometer that will let me go that far? just a thought. btw my tach does go up to 9 stock so wtf?
any help would be badass idk if anyone has ever came across this problem.

Are you seriously making cartoon references? Let me guess, you also know a guy named Harry. He's getting you two of them. The big ones. And you need them tonight.
The ECU controls the engine, and you are using the wrong ECU. The P30 is the correct ECU for that engine, and you should be using it. The P28 is the correct ECU for the D16Z6. Put the P30 on there, fix any CELs that may arise, and you'll be fine.

Damn this website can be harsh.
First off a fucked up and said that the p28 is in there. It isnt. The p30 is. I got confused easy way to remember now... Bigger number bigger head. Yea. My bad.
And yes I made a cartoon reference. That show is dope. And yes again... This is a serious post. Sorry for mis leading yall with the info I gave. But, I had checked that already and somehow WORDED it backwards.
Anyway I'm fixing the TPS tonight. Guess ill let yall know what happens.
