can anyone tell me what part of the axle from a b16a the driver side axle. do i take the whole axle out from the tranny or from that thing that is in between the boot and the other boot?

umm what? what are you trying to do.....be clearer, are yyou trying to take driver side axles off the halfshaft?

just take the hole axle

in almost any case you need to pull axle and half-shaft loose from the trans.

unless you are just trying to get suspension components loose or you're replacing the axle boots before they split open...

just pull the two or three bolts loose that hold the shaft to the block and give it a good tug (or use some leverage, but be carefull where you put it. don't pry on the dust shield that protects the axle seal in the transmission. i don't think they are easy to replace and you need that.)
