Default Axle Doesnt Stay In Place

I dont want to make a ridiculously long thread so here are the clifs on the car:

Year/Make/Model: 1994 Honda Civic Coupe EX
Engine/Transmission: D16Z6 Automatic
Problem: Axle keeps popping out

I know thats vague so Ill start the annoying part of the thread here.

Basically, I replaced both front wheel bearings, driver's side tie rod end and the driver's side upper control arm with an attached ball joint. So everything went smoothly up until I started the car. In Park it seemed fine but the second I put it in any gear, including Neutral, it would grind and squeel as if I grinded a manual car. Sure enough, the axle popped out so I realigned it and put it back in.

Upon putting in the axle I noticed that it gave very little room for the axle nut so i grabbed what I could and screwed the axle nut on. As I was tightening the axle nut I realized that it was pulling the axle outside of the seat and once again gave it play. (side note: the CV boot is still on and intact througout the whole process and is never removed from the trans)

This is issue wasnt present prior to the steering/suspension repairs so I dont think the axle is broken, plus I did get the axle on without torquing the axle nut on all the way and gave a drive around the block and the axle held up fine. It almost seems as though my axle is 2-3" too short, which I know isnt possible since it was mounted before.

Everytime I seat the axle and torque the nut down, the axle pops loose.
Everytime I shift into any gear other than Park, the axle pops loose.

Any hint as to what it could possibly be?

Check to make sure the lock ring on the axle is still there. It really sounds like the susprnsion/steering repairs you did somehow moved your hub assembley outward is your toe off real bad from the new tie rods? Is there any way you switched the axles from side to side?

make sure theres a lock ring at the end where the axle goes into the tranny. my friend bought one from ebay and didnt have that ring or a groove for it. so his popped out everytime. got the correct one from kragen (lifetime warranty) and never popped out again

the axle was never replaced nor removed from the trans. from what i asked on clubrsx i was told that the inner cv boot had compressed but i dont know how to uncompress it. heres the link for reference.

LOL its clubrsx. thats how everyone acts on there. i wont take what people are saying on there personally since i dont know them and will never meet them plus i know 99% of the time they are just having fun while posting, hell even i do it. but ya they could be a bit nicer on certain topics haha.

i just ended up replacing the axle. it was missing a ring and instead of buying a full rebuild kit i just bought the whole axle for $47 + lifetime warranty

thanks everyone
