Default Automatic ECU in a manual/ maula ecu in an automatic?

ok heres the deal, I have a D15B Vtec, with my STOCK d15b7 NON vtec ECU. I want VTEC wired up and wanna use a VTEC ECU (p28)

so my buddy has a honda del sol VTEC automatic. D16z6

this is what I was going to do is swap ecu's,

put the automatic p28 in mine and chip it.

put the d15b7 in the automatic.

My question is, can I make a manual ECU think it's automatic, with a chip? and will CEL come on since vtec is not in the ecu?

no it will still be an automatic ecu, but you can convert it to a manual ecu.

Your friend's vtec will not work with a p06, however.

Neither will his tranny, given it is a manual P06.

ok, good link, however, I was asking if I bought 2 chips, chipped the automatic ECU to think its Manual and chip the Manual ecu to think its automatic.

Chipping has nothing to do with manual/automatic, but you can convert both ways based on that link I put up.
