ATTN: any other way to drain automatic fluid besides the drain plug
ive tried to get the drain plug off all day. I even got this huge breaker bar(30 bucks and it still doesn't budge. I shake the whole engine/tranny when im putting all my force into it. Is there any other way to drain the automatic tranny i need to flush it out and put change the fluid. This is in a 98 lx sedan if that helps.

what the hell, your even in texas. I just did an auto to manual conversion plus swap on a 95 dx, here in the salt belt of michigan, with a small 2 foot pipe, it came right out and this thing you could tell that it had never been changed (gunk all over the drain plug)

You can try to tap on it a few times with a hammer, not too hard though. Then put the breaker bar back on and try it again. This can sometimes help get stuburn bolts out.

The best thing to do, I belive if it's the same as the EG's, and if you have air available is to take a 1/2" impact gun and place it in the hole for the drain plug. With a lot of air pressure, and minimal effort, the plug should break free.

the bolt is a 3/8's square that the drive justs snaps in there. If you go this route, you neet to buy a 1/2 to a 3/8 drive socket.

it shouldn't be "shaking"...
Apply progessively harder pressure... If it's on a lift you would basically do a pull up on the breaker bar. If it's not try to get the bar poking out from under the front bumper... then balance ALL of your weight on the end of the breaker bar and hop a little... but there is a technique to breaking stuck bolts without breaking them. You want to apply force like you're DEFINATELY going to pass the point it's stuck on whether or not you will. It's kinda like punching through something instead of punching it...
Carefull though... snapping that bolt head off won't make this ordeal any easier.
