Default Anyone know how to change gauge faces??

im looking to change my gauge faces, im not sure how to take the needles off so i can screw the faces off, i already broke my temp gauge, the metal piece snapped when i thought i could just pop it out, of course it came off real easy.. but cant go back in .. how do you take the needles off without breaking them!

yeah they do, you take out the little screws, and take off the faces, i've done it, you have to slide it up and sideways to get over the needles

actually now that i look at it in my car (98 civic) the hole is actually smaller than the needle and the plastic piece, so it wont just slide over. what do i do!

i guess 96-00 is different because the hole on mine is definately smaller than the plastic and needle so there is no way to physcally slide it over, i guess they dont pop out, im not sure

My EG civic was the same with the hole being smaller than the plastic and needle... I removed the needles and yes they do pop off and if you plan on doing it be VERY VERY careful!!! The piece that holds the needle on is very delicate and it will snap! Also if you do remove the needles you will have to get them reset! Just a heads up.

do NOT take the needles off - your cluster will never be accurate again. They suck bad enough already...
