Annoying leak on from of block where head meets block
Hey guys, I drive a 97 coupe stock with d16y8. I am experiencing a leak on the top left corner of my engine. It seems to be coming from where my block meets my head. I originally thought it was the distributor o-ring, so I replaced and cleaned everything up today. I haven't drove it since. Tonight I went and let the car warm up before I adjusted my ignition timing and there it was again. The leak in the same spot. It's not coming from the distributor 100%. I'm almost certain I do not have a blown head-gasket because about a month ago I did the head-gasket tester from autozone. Here's a pic. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check your vtec solenoid. If not, then your head is warped. My vtec solenoid is leaking bad and the oil is moving to the front also like this. But my issue is the vtec solenoid gasket.

Looks like the vtec solenoid or distributor o ring. Don't forget there's 2 gaskets on the solenoid. And possibly from the threads of the oil pressure sending unit on the vtec solenoid. Even a brand new gasket can leak if you don't use rtv or hondabond. If you have completely eliminated the possibility of all the suggestions given in this thread go down to autozone and ask for part number 374. Engine oil dye. Run the engine and check with a UV light.

My girlfriend just had all four wisdom teeth removed so my investigation has come to a pause. When shes feeling better I will spray down the engine clean and watch exactly how the leak forms. Thanks for all the help!
