Alternator wiggle, Loose belt = no charge?
After buying a used alternator on here, I went out just looking around on how to install this this thing. If I can giggle the alternator with my hand and the belt doesnt seem "too" tight.. would that cause my alternator not work and not to charge?

The belt is very loose, as the car runs, it spins but maybe not as fast as it should since there could be slippage. The charging light goes off after ignition.
Would a loose belt cause the alternator not to charge the battery? It doesnt make any noise, etc.. at all. even on cold/warm starts.

Yes it can because a loose belt will slip causing the alternator pulley to not be turned enough to keep your charge where it needs to be.

7 bucks from honda for the bolt and nut...
Not THAT big a deal man, and if they don't have it in stock just pick up a 5/8" carriage bolt that'll be long enough, and use it temporarily... That's what I have as my pivot bolt right now. Honda got me the right bolt a good week and a half ago, but it's working fine as is...

I never said it was... money isnt necessarily the object.
Is there a nut on the top adjustment screw? I know there is on the bottom one.

Yup. The bolts are the same part number on the B series alternator bracket, I would assume it's the same for the D series...

i believe there are 2 bolts i just like to tighten the mount bolt and stick a nice pry bar in there and have it as tight as it will go and then tighten the adjusting nut. TENSION is your friend
