ac problem in my ej8
i was driving down the block.just around the corner of my house the motor start sounding funny. i thought something was wrong with the motor. but the i check it was the ac. i just re-pump my ac like a month ago. when i turn the ac on in the engine it starts to rattle alot. and when i rev up to 4000 rpm it makes a screeching noise. the ac still blow cold. and my rev is acting up too. when i turn it on ac it was at 1500 rpm. then when i shut it off the ac it goes back to normal. do you guys think i pump too much into the ac, i should release some pressure? or is it my compressor?

check you're belts and also the compressor. The pulley could be seized. I had it happen to me too. It spins freely when the clutch isn't engaged. then when you turn the a/c on it engages and could be seized or broken. Mine was broken, wasn't a honda but still same **** different car

the pulley is spinning. and one of my buds told me top release some pressure. i did. and now the ac is ok. but when the ac fan turns on everything rattles alot. it sound like its coming from the compressor. but when the ac fan goes off everything is fine. could it be my compressor? or still the belt?

alrite. i check. my ac compressor gave out. kinda sucks when its getting hot slowly. well, i just got a used compressor from a local pick and pull. i already vacuum all the air/freon out of the ac system. i replace it. check for leaks. there was none. so now i was wondering do i just add freon into the ac?

I guess you could just charge it up, but
Once the a/c system is opened a new accumulator/receiver drier is strongly recommended. Also you really should pull a vacuum on the system before recharging to remove moisture.
