Default ABS light on after attempting to reset

The light is on in a car that I just picked up. Connected the service connector and the SRS (not the ABS light?) just blinks a million times an hour. Apparently I am doing this wrong? The blinking isn't anything like when I pull a DTC from the CEL.

I tried to reset the ABS light by removing the fuse and disconnecting the battery. Still on. Also tried to re set the code by using the brake pedal with the service connector in. Didn't work.

Any help would be great so I could get an idea of what is going on....

Thanks!

PS the battery is weak in the car. It will barely start it, sometimes it wont. Don't know if that would really make a difference.

Pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery will not reset the abs code in the abs system/brain. I just finished doing this a couple of weeks ago. I used a helms for the procedure and it took a couple of tries to get it to go out (with service connector jumped).
You say the srs light is not on with service connector not jumped, I would do the abs first.

you have to jump the srs service connector to reset it. it usualy takes a few tries to do it right as you have to jump it in a timely matter . google how to reset srs light. its not like the ecu you cant just disconnect the battery and it resets.

For some reason, it isnt coming on anymore. I don't know what the deal is. Im not complaining though. Well see if it comes back on. For the time being I am trying to figure out what is wrong with the cluster. Im getting voltage to the ECU, sensor is pulsing like it should and voltage to the cluster so I thinking the motor or circuit board is shot.
