Icon3 99 Honda Civic EX A/C Desperate..

I have a little one and I need to get my A/C working good.

I was in a front end collision about 2 years ago. It damaged my condenser and compressor. I just got around to getting this fixed and I replaced compressor and condenser as well as the condenser fan. The system is evacuated and charged. Now, when I turn the A/C on, it blows semi-cool air. Keep in mind it's 90+ degree weather. I drive for 15 minutes at 60mph and it cools off a little, but I am still sweating and so is my little one. It rained the other day, and me A/C blew ice cold while it was raining. The compressor is engaging like it's supposed to and the fan is working fine. The system is charged. What's the problem? Why is it not cooling off like it's supposed to, especially when it's hot? There does not seem to be a leak as my gauge tells me it's maintaining the same level of refrigerant in 2 weeks. Please help us....

You need to hook up a manifold gauge set to take pressure readings on both the low and high sides. These pressure values will likely reveal the source of the problem.

On a typical 80F day in the shade with the engine idling and the A/C on:

Low side should be 23 to 36 PSI

High side should be 240 to 300 PSI
