99 em1/ls turbo - swap in a n/a motor?
Hey guys i have an 99 em1 with an ls turbo swaped in-place of the b16. But lately i have been thinking of going back to an n/a motor. So was wondering what would be the best way to go on a motor. I was thinking of just going back to the b16 and adding a few mods to that. or would i be better off getting a better motor?

right now im mostly wanting to have a car better for daily driving, and being in texas having no a/c sucks. But what ever i do im looking to make 200whpish. Car is making 230 whp on the turbo, so wouldnt be that much of a drop.

Im in Texas, I have a em1 k24a2 and I still dont use AC. I just roll the windows down and enjoy the breeze. Temp in Texas is easily any where from 30 to 70ish degrees. I honestly would keep the LS Turbo. You will miss it once it is gone I promise.
If you still want to get rid of the LS Turbo I know some people that would be interested.
P.S. Im located @Ft Hood

In this case, it's not the manifold that's the problem, it's the turbo. I have the same manifold style on what is basically a modified T25, and it fits just fine. That looks like it might be a GT60. The snail is probably WAY too big for the engine, and is obviously too big for the engine bay.

if he pointed the inlet the opposite direction, you would have room for AC.
you only have a cheap ebay manifold anyways, so either way ~ replace the manifold or turn the turbo around and POOF! A/C compatible!
and also you can mount your rad and your reservoir the correct way when you swap

Also, even flipping the compressor side won't solve the problem. It looks like the exhaust side of the turbo is too big. Like I said, looks like a GT60. Way too big for that motor.

na its a precision t3/t4. But I said screw it and haven't done anything. But yes the rad and the over flow are mounted like crap. Just haven't cared to mount them to look correct.
