Default 1995 Civic DX transmission shifting woes

OK, group, this has probably been touched on before, so any help would be appreciated. 1995 Civic DX auto trans. I bought it for my grand daughter and of course, it comes will full warranty....(as long as Pappy can afford to fix it). Was a nice little car showing only a little of 100K miles. First year, no issues. Recently, the a/c compressor locked up and had to install complete a/c unit. Now she has experienced shifting issues with the trans. Here is what it does. In drive, it will not shift out of second and sometimes will not shift out of first into second. You can manually shift first to second, no problem. When you go to D or D2, the engine revs up and the car will not pull at all. Goes into reverse/park OK and first/second OK, just will not do anything in D or D2. Here is what I have done. Drained all fluid, replaced with genuine Honda fluid as recommended. Three times trying to flush everything possible if there was an issue. Pulled the Solenoids, cleaned them with disc brake cleaner. They both will click when 12V is applied. They register 13 ohms. Everything I can read says 14-25 ohms, mine is just out of that range. Could this be the issue? Solonoids no functioning as designed even though they click and register just out of the recommended range? My next guess is to carry it to a trans shop and see if the linkage is all out of whack. I'm beginning to think that could be the issue. The fluid was actually pretty clean, no debris on the magnetic drain plug, overall it really looked pretty good. It could be my 17year old grandaughter has ran over something and damaged the linkage somehow. I did just replace a fender and bumper, but that was not part of the problem...those unforseen items could be, tho!!!! any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, PACO

Might need a new A/T shift cable. However, you try cleaning and lubing the A/T linkage first. Hard shifting before this current issue?
