Icon6 !need a walk-thru on replacing stock pistons with high comp.!

i've got a 93 cx shell, with a ctr jdm swap-i threw a rod... didn't damage the block... but, that isn't the problem. i figured since i'll be in there, i might as well build it up a bit-and ordered the oem high-comp pistons, valves, and springs... problem is: i have no idea what i'm doing... lol
anyone willing to offer an in-depth walk-thru...? it would be much-appreciated... thanks

REMOVAL
  1. Remove the oil pan assembly.

  1. Remove the right side cover.
  2. Remove the oil screen.

  1. Remove the oil pump.
  2. Remove the baffle plate (B16A2 engine).

  1. Remove the bolts and the bearing caps. CAUTION: To prevent warpage unscrew the bolts in sequence 1/3 turn at a time, repeat the sequence until all bolts are loosened.
  2. Remove the rod caps/bearings and main caps/bearings. Keep all caps/bearing in order.

  1. Lift the crankshaft out of the engine, being careful not to damage journals.
  2. Remove the upper bearing halves from the connecting rods and set them aside with their respective caps.
  3. Reinstall the main caps and bearings on the engine in proper order.

  1. If you can feel ridge of metal or hard carbon around the top of each cylinder, remove it with a ridge reamer. Follow the reamer manufacturer's instructions. CAUTION: If the ridge is not removed, it may damage the pistons as they are pushed out.

  1. Use the wooden handle of a hammer to drive the pistons out.
  2. Reinstall the connecting rod bearings and caps after removing each piston/connecting rod assembly.
  3. Mark each piston/connecting rod assembly with its cylinder number to avoid mix-up on reassembly. NOTE: The existing number on the connecting rod does not indicate its position in the engine, it indicates the rod bore size.
AssemblyNotesBefore installing the pistons, apply a coat of engine oil to the ring grooves and cylinder bores.

  1. If the crankshaft is already installed:
    B16A2 engine: 40 Nm (4.1 kgs.cm, 30 ft.lbs.)
    D16Y5, D16Y7, D16Y8 engines: 31 Nm (3.2 kgs.cm, 23 ft.lbs.)

    1. If the crankshaft is not installed:

NOTE: Maintain downward force on the ring compressor to prevent the rings from expanding before entering the cylinder bore.
