98 Honda Civic EX Lock up solenoid?? Help!
Every gear shifts perfect in my transmission except for flaring between the 2-3 shift. ('98 EX Automatic) only 90K.
Got a hold of a manual, and one of the troubleshooting items listed is the lockup shift solenoid.
It's an intermittent problem, and I've flushed the trans fluid with Honda fluid a few times already. My question is - if removed, can the solenoids be cleaned, like with brake cleaner, and put back on the car?
What would be best to do. Clean and replace gasket filter on the solenoid or just replace the solenoid with brand new? Will this fix my problem?
