98 Civic wont start
Engine (gas) is 1,4i, made in japan for the european marked.
Engine just stopped, tried for long to get it started but no luck.
In fact it did acumulate gasoline in the intake manifold...
It cranks ok, but no spark.
Came to the conclusion that the ignitor was bad and replaced it.
Now there is spark but still no start.
I've also tried to replace main relay and ignition switch...
So where do I go from here????

Is your spark weak or strong? Did you try starting it after you flooded the intake with gas? Or have you tried it later? If you pull a plug are they flooded with fuel, dry?

Re: 98 Civic wont start
I'd say the spark is normal. I've tried to start after flooding.
The intake has been dried, plugs taken out, was moist.
Used a blower to blow through intake and exhaust via plug holes to get rid of gas.

You sure you are getting an intense spark (should be white)? Did you pull the plug wires and maybe reverse them or get them mixed up? When you put the ignitor in did you pull the dizzy rotor/cap and make sure they are on correctly?

I'll check the timing. Also I'd had to dismantle the regulator housing to replase a broken screw holding the ignitor. I think it's impossible to mount it 180 degrees wrong , but maybe not?
What does CELS mean?
Thanks a lot so far..

The CEL was there until I replaced the ignitor. Code 15 I belive it was.
Plugs have been out, the cylinders are not flooded.
So I'll check the timing, double check plug cables if they can be mixed up.
Hope & pray there's something worong there.
But just now I've got a date with Johnnie Walker....
