98 civic baffled on what to do next
Got a 1998 honda civic dx 5spd misfiring no.2 and no.3 cylinder it's getting spark swapped distributor out and it's getting fuel swapped injectors out and still the same start car and starts but idles rough and pull out spark plug wires for no.2 and no.3 cylinder idle doesn't change but checked if get spark with a spark tester and has spark so tried the fuel injector wire pulled of no.4 and no.1 and car dies out start car back up and pulled out injector wires for no.2 and no.3 no difference in idle doesn't shut off so i know that no.2 and no.3 cylinder is misfiring because doesn't do nothing when I pull out no.2 and no.3 cylinder injector wires and sparkplug wire don't know what else to do I know it's getting fuel in those cylinder cause took off spark plug and smells like fuel.let me know what else to do help is greatly appreciated thanks

I would check for vacuum leaks around the intake manifold.
The car is stock? Are you positive the spark plug wires are placed in the correct order on the cap?

**** this is a hard post to follow...
I want to say you checked for spark and fuel but if you really want to be sure about the fuel, pull the whole rail out with the injectors still attached and have someone crank the engine, and check for fuel flow.
Also as far as the spark, pull the plugs out, attach them back to the wires and place them against the exhaust manifold, then have someone crank the car while you check for proper spark. How does the spark look?
After that, perform a compression and cylinder leakage test and tellus what you get.

Put new fuel rail and injectors in it and still the same. Yes all sparkplug wires are in its place where suppose to be. Anymore suggestion I'm going to do a compression check later today.and I'll let you all know what it reads

Update pulled cylinder head off and found that 3 valves were cracked that's why it was running rough. The previous owner installed the harmonic balancer with out the small little keyway or woodruff key.
