Default 97 civic ex b18c tps issues....

To start its got a obd1 phearable tuned p28-a02 ecu....

Key ON engine OFF... I back probe the red/black wire at the ECU before the conversion harness..... I get like .005v and wot is 3.37v... Why is that so low?

Lwhen the engine is running.... I get... -.09v and it goes up when revving....

The tps gets 5v at the plug.

I got a volt meter and back probes to use... Help me

New tps from auto zone btw.

What should the ohms be on the ground side of the tps to say the negative post?

What are you using as ground in your Red/Blk wire voltage test? Did you calibrate the TPS?

Using either cigarette lighter or a bolt in the door. I get the same reading if I back probe the wire at the tps and use battery ground.

No did not calibrate tps... I'm a Honda newb. What's the procedure for that?.. Jk found it

You need to calibrate it. Loosen the TPS screws and rotate the TPS until the Red/Blk wire reads 0.5V at closed throttle. Tighten the bolts. Test voltage at WOT. Voltage should be roughly 4.5V or a little higher.

My hero.

Guy I bought it from has a 700+HP nonvtec integra ... but doesn't know that the TPS needs to be configured.....
