Default 96 civic AT slipping Help?

My 96 ex trans. hessitates between all gears and is starting to slip more. Down shifting is sometimes rough. Transmission has trouble adjusting while going up hills. Read a couple threads about selinoids and other trouble shooting tips. Anyone got any idea's?

Yes. Looks clean, levels maybe a little high but otherwise fine.

If your fluid level is too high you probably destroyed the trans. There's a particular way of checking the level. You have to drive it around up to operating temperature, then pull over on a flat surface and within a minute of shutting down the motor, wipe the dipstick and put it back in. If the level is too high or too low, it wont shift correctly and you'll burn it up.

Also you have to use Honda ATF.

You also have to check and adjust the line pressure every couple of years.

When you replace the trans, add a auto tranny fluid cooler to it.
